Collaborative Media

Welcome to the Collaborative Media Module!

The collaborative media section of this course describes a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) online platform where content is created, modified, stored and managed by a single or multiple users. Two types of collaborative media sites discussed in this course are blogs and wikis. Blogs are personal environments where users can store their content while others provide feedback directly on the users' blog sites. Collaboration occurs when users’ feedback is used as a discussion posting and information is accumulated in one specified location, the blog. Wikis are open to multiple users for direct interaction with the online content. Users can create, modify, and delete content generated by any user. Government blogs and wikis will be used as examples of collaborative media.

To proceed to the desired collaborative media section select one of the following:
  • BLOGs

  • Wikis
